A Note from Our Founder
A Personal Note from the Founder
Foldgate exists because of where I have come from, not in spite of it.
I grew up in a broken family, and I spent much of my early life carrying a learning difficulty that went undetected until well into adulthood. For years I thought I was simply struggling where others found things easy. Understanding myself properly, much later than I should have, changed everything — and it gave me a deep, settled conviction that everyone deserves a place where they can feel safe, supported, and seen for who they really are.
That conviction is the foundation of Foldgate. When I look at a tired high street of shops, and an empty industrial unit, I see a community waiting to be looked after. When I look at a supported living home, I see someone who has not always had a soft place to land finally being given one. I know what it is to need a home, practical, emotional, and quiet — and I know what a difference it makes when someone offers it without fuss.
Foldgate is a small company built on that understanding. We are not trying to be the biggest; we are trying to be the kind of investor that the people who came before me needed, and the kind I would want for the people I love.
